Kaya was our first mini alpine that we purchased. We loved her appearance when she was a doeling and she only grew better with age.  She is often mistaken for an Oberhasli with her deep brown chamoisee pattern, but she's mini alpine through and through. She is a low ranking doe in the herd and never causes a problem.  She has freshened three times and produced all doelings! In 2021 we retained two of her F3 mini daughters, Naomi and Winona. We can't wait to see how they freshen as well.  Kaya is a great size for a home milker and is so much easier to maintain than a larger standard dairy goat, but still produces almost as much milk as the standard girls.  Kaya is a big reason why we have decided to focus on Mini Alpines.  They are the alpine girls we love in a smaller package.  They are great for the small homestead of even just to keep goats as pets.
